What is the best way to wear culottes? Can you wear a culottes and look cool? How to style culottes? Choose a pair made.


A statement crop top like this number from ASOS will be the perfect match to plain, black culottes for pear-shaped ladies, as the eye will be drawn up and away from your bottom half. Culottes are wide, so be sure to keep your top form fitting to balance it out. This way you don’t drown in the the width of the pants. I love a crop top with them since the pants are naturally high-waisted. If you aren’t into a crop I would suggest a bodysuit or other type of form fitting top to keep your proportions in line.

This is especially attractive for women who have thick thighs and love skirts, since it helps eliminate the discomfort with thighs rubbing against each other. When choosing culottes , consider them more like a skirt as opposed to shorts. Totally agree with wawa! Why do they always associate curvy women with big(ger) women. To use the example closest to home :-), I for one have an hourglass shape, so consider myself curvy.


My BMI, however, is not one of a big woman and I do regular exercise. Beyoncé and JLo can be good celebrity examples of curvy women, who are not big. What I love most about culottes is how they can be dressed up with a nice top and heels, or down with a t-shirt and flats.


Also, did I mentioned they are uber comfy? Ya curvy girls can totally relate – tight pants are the worst at the end of a long day. A pretty silk blousewill always create a classic look.
