Intelligently designed guide in the center of the overcast foot makes it perfect for stitching together elastic, knit or even fraying facrics while simultaioniously finnishing the edges. The Overcast Foot is ideal for stitching and finishing stretch fabrics.

It prevents the seam from puckering, even when stitching wider seams. Turning the screw, adjust wire to seam width so needle swings over. Included are several types of quarter inch feet for piecing, stitch in the ditch and free motion feet for enhancing your quilt. Using the overcast stitch and overcasting presser foot on your sewing machine can open a world of new options for you.


It gives your basic sewing machine the ability to finish fabric edges and sew a seam at the same time. Overcast foot G – this foot came with my Babylock sewing machine but I can use it on all low shank modern machines. It keeps the fabric edge from curling or bunching up onto itself.

The underside of the presser foot is designed to glide along the folded edge, and it will give you beautiful topstitching on your project. Use the Bi-level Topstitch Foot for hemming bulky projects such as waist bands, curtains etc. It will allow you to have the fabric outside the free arm for easier sewing.

There is a little bar in the centre of the foot that works to wrap thread around the edge of the fabric for a neat finish and to prevent fraying.
