Should i get two kittens from the same litter

Can I take two cats from the same litter? Is it better to have two kittens or more? Why to get two kittens instead of one? What are two kittens?

Look for kittens from the same litter or a pair that bonded during their time in an animal shelter. That way you’re guaranteed that their personalities will match!

Cats : Two cats who are siblings and are up for adoption have the same background. If they were house pets before, you’ll see that behavior clearly. Adopting two kittens at the same time will ensure your kitties always have company—and a reliable source of entertainment. While you check off your to-do list, they’ll play, cuddle, and snooze the day away. Want to ensure your kittens will not only entertain each other, but will also get along?

Anytime anyone is able to afford two, I say GO FOR IT! We adopted a brother and sister as kittens and they were best buddies for over years till the girl died four years ago. Not only are they completely adorable to watch, but they are.

Hi there, Usually it is better to get one of each, as two cats of the same gender can become competitive with one another. Although you have to make sure they are neutered and spayed as soon as possible, i. Kittens as young as months old are capable of breeding. Getting kittens from the same litter of cats is always the best choice.

This is because they will know each other already and there shouldn’t be any problems keeping them in close proximity. Two from the same litter would be lovely! Currently we have two brothers from the same litter.

Hope you get your cats soon! Taking on two puppies from the same litter often in what is known as littermate syndrome. For this reason, the best combination of cats is actually littermates and if you are taking on more than one kitten it is certainly better to consider taking on two from the same litter. If you’re thinking about bringing a kitten into your life , there are many reasons why you should actually consider doubling that and bringing home a pair.

Yes, think two instead of one. Cat siblings are generally genetically very different. Unless the breeding occurred in a controlled environment, kittens of the same litter can actually have different fathers. And even those kittens who have both of the same parents, have likely randomly inherited a number of different gene combinations. If you are introducing two cats or kittens that have not met before there will usually be some level of aloofness or even aggression but this will usually subside fairly quickly.

Kittens the same age tend to get along better than those with big age differences. If possible, get kittens that were born within a week of each other.

Also, the younger kittens from two different litters are when they are introduce the more accepting they will be of each other. One litter box for both is fine. I think that if we share the toilet with other people, It should be perfectly fine to share a litter box. You should get two litter boxes.

One cat will claim it, and the other will barely use it. My grandparents have two cats and only had one litter box, they had problems potty training one of them, and consulted the vet. He recommended getting another litter box and it totally worked.

Kittens from the same litter can stay together however if they are male and female you need to have one or both fixed to prevent inbreeding. However just like kittens from different litters not all cats get along with each other. I am just now noticing they don't like to use the same litter box.

They get along fine.
