SSS has opened its Calamity Loan Assistance Program (CLAP) for members who need financial help. Manila (CNN Philippines Life) — It seems that in June, most Filipinos are more concerned about the. SSS Calamity Loan is a special loan , not available anytime for all members. Calamity Loan is usually being offered by SSS whenever there is a calamity that happened in an area (e.g Typhoon, Earthquake, war, and unexpected incidents). The calamity loan of SSS will be made available for all qualified members meeting the following eligibility requirements.


Your current residential address must be declared ‘State of Calamity ’ by the local government unit or the President himself. The member must have paid the required contribution for at least three years or months. This loan is offered to all currently contributing employe self-employed and voluntary members who are residents of the entire Philippines affected by the strict community quarantine.


The SSS calamity loan is payable in months including the three-month moratorium period. The loan amortization will start on the fourth month following the date of the approval of the calamity loan.
